Straight outta Zamunda, An ode to the African Queens

Straight outta Zamunda, An ode to the African Queens

Inspired by the African Queens, Nerfetiti of Egypt and Kandake Amanirenas of Kush (Modern day Sudan). Powerful Queens who ruled over Egypt & leaving  the legacy for both North Africa & Sub Saharan to rule over the land dotted by pyramids

Producers approached Uoma, the self-described “Afropolitan” beauty brand, to create a full line inspired by the glamorous film starring Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, Kiki Layne, Teyana Taylor, and more.

The brand referenced intricate details of the movie and African culture to create the beautifully meaningful Black Magic Coming 2 America Collection

The collection, which has a particular focus on the eyes, draws from African royalty from all over the continent, from the Fulani tribe in Nigeria, Niger, and Chad to the Ndebele all the way to the ultra-modern and colorful Aso Ebi/Aso Oke culture,”

In this collection, Uoma Beauty debuts three different palettes: The Royal Heir-Tage Color Palette—a 10-pan palette with each shade named after queens of ancient Africa; plus two Coming 2 America Mini Color Palettes in “Good Morning Zamunda” and “Queen To Be”—both lines that nod the original Coming to America.
